The 7-Layer


JUMBO-SIZED



This titan was inspired by the classic seven layer bar. I have never seen this bar made into a cupcake before, and conjuring up the structure of this layered cupcake was sure a lot fun. The great thing about this recipe is that it's very free form, you may change and substitute layers with other ingredients. Allow me to give you a full breakdown of the layers without sending your mind into another dimension.

Layers: (bottom to top)
  1. Graham cracker crust
  2. Walnuts
  3. White and dark chocolate chips
  4. Homemade chocolate fudge spread
  5. Toasted coconut
  6. Homemade Meringue (mixed with a touch of Grand Marnier)
  7. Mini Oreo cookie garnish

Vegan Dulce de Leche Chocolate Cupcake w/ Dulce de Leche Drizzle



100% Vegan-friendly! I’ve taken my phenomenal chocolate cake recipe and created its vegan counterpart. I created my own vegan vanilla “butter”cream frosting topped with a dulce de leche reduction drizzle.

The S’more



I'm personally very proud of this creation. A vanilla cupcake disguised in dark chocolate fudge surrounded by a barrier of graham cracker crumbs capped with homemade marshmallow cream with a mini toasted marshmallow on top.

Red Bean Matcha Swirl




A healthy dose of Japanese green tea flavored cream cheese frosting filled with Japanese sweet mashed red beans on top of a super soft chocolate cupcake. The cupcake is adorned with a red bean or green tea jelly square.

This cupcake really showcases how authentic Japanese flavors and textures nicely blend together. I mixed real Japanese ground up matcha (green tea) powder with a sweet half-mashed azuki (red bean). Red azuki beans are made in many traditional Japanese delicacies. The cupcake garnish houses another Japanese delicacy, the Yōkan, which comes as a small block of jelly that can be flavored with azuki paste, matcha, and many other mixes of sweet ingredients. Finally, the moist chocolate cake compliments all those Japanese flavors into one big, sweet Japanese confectionary explosion!

Vanilla Chocolate Chip & Vanilla ( w/ coffee liquer) Buttercream Frosting







Your basic vanilla cupcake topped with a classic vanilla buttercream frosting with a hint of Kahula (optional). Make it a deluxe with choco-almond pocky sticks for garnish!
The great thing about this basic cupcake is that it can be customized in many ways. You can request what color frosting you would like matched with toppings ( sprinkles, oreo crumbs, chocolate drizzles, etc...) and mix/match with classic vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip, etc... cake mixes. Just use your imagination:)

Introduction!

Hello all and welcome to BlakeyCakes!

This blog illustrates my range and love for cupcakes and what is available to order. I will also use this blog to discuss a bit more in depth about my newest cupcake experiences, creations, and experimentation.  What makes my business special is my use of the finest, quality ingredients combined with fast, attentive customer service and an attentive eye to detail. Also, unique to BlakeyCakes, I can custom make any delicious cupcake, no matter how wild, suited to your wishes. So, please cruise my page, sit back, relax, and let the cupcake chef cater to your every desire;)

Ordering:

As of present, BlakeyCakes can deliver within the Southern California area: i.e. The Valley (Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Northridge), Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Simi Valley etc... Please notify me at least 4-5 days in advance to place an order. I can custom make anything specific to your needs and occasion. Depending on location, delivery will require an extra fee, or you may pick up your cupcake order at my place of business. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee. I am located in the valley, Lake Balboa.

About me:

My name is Blake Anthony. I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Japanese. I've always had a knack for cooking/baking, and  I wanted to try my hand in the sweet world of cupcakes. Hence, BlakeyCakes was born.
